Enjoy the magic of Christmas in the Czech Republic

This Year the Christmas markets start on November 28 and will run until January 1, 2010.

Prague´s Christmas markets are some of the best known in Europe. Tens of stalls will appear on the Old Town Square (20 min walk from Golden Horse House through the magic Lesser Town Square and historic Charles Bridge) and on Wenceslas Square (30 min walk from Golden Horse House). On both you will be able to buy Christmas decorations, corn doll tree decorations, yuletide straw figures, beautifully decorated gingerbread, fragrant candles and warm scarves and hats. You won´t be able to resist the refreshments on offer. Hot punch, aromatic mead, roast chestnuts, old Bohemian baked "trdlo" and grilled sausages are well - deserved reward for enduring the yuletide crowds.

Josef Capek is one of the most remarkable personality of the Czech culture scene of 20th century. Before the 1st world war was one of the key reppresentative of Czech Avant - Garde and his activity in arts and theory was concentrated on personal adaptation of expresionism and cubism. His paintings belong to the most valuable and most expensive at within the europian art market. This unique exhibition shows  works from Czech public galleries as well as those from private collections.
