Wenceslas square
Wenceslas square - hotels and restaurants occupy many of the buildings around square, though it remains an important commercial centre - the square began life as a medieval horse market. Star sights: the bronze statue of St Wenceslas and the National Museum at the top of the square.
Old Jewish Town and Old Jewish Cemetery
Old Jewish Town and Old Jewish Cemetery - though the old ghetto has disappeared, much of the area´s fascinating history is preserved in the synagogues around the Old Jewish Cemetery, while the newer streets are lined with many delightful Art Nouveau buildings. Vysehrad
A rocky outcrop above the Vltava, Vyšehrad means "castle on the heights". It was fortified in the 10th century and, at times, used as the seat of the Přemyslid princes. The area has great historical and mythological significance for Czech people and in the 1870s it was chosen as the site for national cemetery.
Petřín Park
Petřín Park - the wooded slopes of Petřín hill rise above the city to a height of 318 m. The magnificent panorama of Prague can be seen from there. The park is especially popular during spring when the fruit trees are in blossom and young lovers lay flowers on the monument to Karel Hynek Mácha, the most famous Czech Romantic poet, who died aged 26 in 1836. There us a Funicular Railway, that takes you up.
