Old Town Square

Old Town Square - 20 to 30 min walk from Golden Horse House.

Already during the 12th century the Old Town Square used to be the important meeting point of trade routes and market. Today offers visitors a tourist information centre, as well as a number of restaurants, cafés, shops and galleries.

Some of Prague´s colorful history is preserved around the Old Town Square in the form of its buildings. On the north side of the square, the Pauline Monastery, at the east side boasts two superb examples of the architecture of their times: the House at the Stone Bell (Gothic town palace) and the Rococo Kinský palace.
A colorful array of houses of Romanesque or Gothic origin, with fascinating house signs, graces the south side of the square.

Star sights at Old Town Square:

  1. Church of Our Lady before Týn
  2. House at the Stone Bell
  3. Church of St Nicholas
  4. Old Town Hall
